Dr. Shepherd Bliss has operated the Kokopelli Farm for the last 24 years and recently retired from college teaching. A former Methodist minister, he is interested in spiritual aspects of death and dying. He has attended and appreciates the Death Cafes and likes the oral tradition of recited poetry.
Janet Caliri is a Human Potential Practitioner whose mission is igniting human potential. While in a difficult rite of passage, Janet developed her photographic technique, Visible Transitions, which supports reducing resistance and attachments, resulting in less anxiety, depression and stress. In turn, experiencing more ease and joy during difficult life transitions such as death.
Rev. Vicky Combs, an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister, has served for over 10 years as a professional chaplain in hospital, hospice, and prison settings. She has just completed her monograph on Biodanza as a modality for the healing of grief.
Terri Daniel is an ordained interfaith minister, clinical chaplain and intuitive counselor who assists dying and grieving individuals to discover a more spiritually-spacious understanding of death and beyond. Her unique perspective on birth, death and the journey of the soul helps the dying and the living find meaning and healing through meditative and ritual practices that open a conduit to other dimensions.
Lewis Brown Griggs: During the first of his two near death experiences, Lewis discovered that we are on earth to fulfill a particular Purpose, and that he had not been on the right path. He was told that he must return to earth to teach people to appreciate diversity in our common humanity. Since then, his work has included teaching corporations that valuing diversity, relationship and Spirit maximizes organizational effectiveness.
In his second near death experience reported on KRON/4 news, Lewis was crushed by a tree in a white-water river accident and after an eight day coma went through many years of traumatic brain injury recovery.
Jerrigrace Lyons: Final Passages’ director, Jerrigrace Lyons, has a long history in alternative health care. A Reiki Master, Certified Trager Practitioner, and founder of Final Passages, Jerrigrace also directs the Home Funeral Ministry. … She founded Final Passages as a result of the unexpected death of her friend Carolyn Whiting. Puja has studied philosophy, esoteric metaphysics, and world religion. He lived in an Ashram for 11 years. He is a healer, JOHREI Channel of Divine Light, and Reiki Master Teacher. He is also a certified acupressurist/touch therapist in California, as well as a Hypnotherapist.
Marilyn Schlitz: For more than three decades, Marilyn has been a leader in the field of consciousness studies. Her research and extensive publications focus on personal and social transformation, cultural pluralism, extended human capacities, and mind body medicine. She recently wrote and produced a feature film (called Death Makes Life Possible) with Deepak Chopra on the topic of death and dying, and how engaging that topic in a deep and meaningful way informs the way we live our lives.
Michelle Vesser has worked as an organic gardener for 30 years. For the past 11 years she has been a dedicated practitioner with the Tibetan teachings of LamaTsultrim Allione, Ellen Booth Church, Chagdud Khadro, and Tenzin Wangyal. She has used these teachings to support people through their process of dying.
Bob Banner has been a publisher (mostly known for a print publication in 4 counties called HopeDance: Radical Solutions Inspiring Hope), Deep Conversation Gathering facilitator, Laughter Yoga Teacher, screener of transformational films since 1996 and currently creating ecstatic dances and All Day Immersions on leading edge “solutionary” issues.
